Willis-Knighton does not collect or keep your credit card information. You may also register by calling (318) 212-8225 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except holidays). Charges due must be paid in advance.

Note: For classes eligible for a refund, the refund policy requires you to call at least one week in advance to cancel. Refunds will be issued, less a $10 administrative fee.

WK Support Groups
Support groups are designed for people dealing with specific health concerns. A facilitator is available for each class.
 



Bereavement Support Group - Adult
This support group is designed to offer encouragement to those who have lost a loved one. Meetings are held on Thurdays at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Willis-Knighton Hospice of Louisiana.

Bereavement Support Group - Child
This group is designed to help children and adolescents struggling with the death of a loved one. Meetings are held on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. by appointment in the Willis-Knighton Hospice of Louisiana. Please call (318) 212-2170 for appointment.

Cancer Pain & Fatigue Educational Group
This group provides cancer patients and their loved ones with the opportunity to discuss their concerns of pain and fatigue with knowledgeable healthcare professionals. Reservations required, includes lunch.




Fibromyalgia Support Group
This support group is designed for those with fibromyalgia,family members and caregivers. Guest Speaker: Veronica Thomas, CA and Lori Berry. Topic: What is Fibromyalgia and its associated illnesses?

General Cancer Support Group
This group is designed to assist patients and caregivers as they discuss the emotional challenges and other concerns often faced by patients with cancer. Lunch provided. Space limited.







Look Good, Feel Better
This two hour, hands-on workshop includes a 12-step skin care/make-up application lesson, demonstration of options for dealing with hair loss and nail techniques. Patients also use and take home complimentary cosmetic kits in their appropriate skin tones with helpful instruction booklets.

Lymphedema Support Group
This is a monthly support group for lymphedema patients, their friends and family.

Man-to-Man Prostate Support Group
This educational workshop gives cancer patients and their loved ones information on prostate related issues that will be of value before, during and after cancer treatment. Patients and caretakers will also have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with knowledgeable healthcare professionals.

Multiple Sclerosis Support Group
This monthly support group is for individuals who with Multiple Sclerosis. Friends and family are also welcome.

Parkinson's Support Group
A monthly support group for people with Parkinson's disease. Friends and family are also welcome to attend.

Post Polio Support Group
This group is provided for patients who have experienced polio. Friends and family are also welcome.Guest Speaker: Brittany Watson. Topic: Sit & Be Fit, sitting exercise program.

Stroke Support Group
Monthly support group for people who have suffered a stroke. Caregivers are also welcome to attend.
Guest Speaker: Kassi Fitzgerald,RN, Post Acute Care Coordinator, Willis-Knighton Health System.
Topic: Obamacare and What It May Mean For You.

Woman to Woman: Caring for your Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Needs
An educational program to give female cancer patient's information on issues unique to their treatments and side effects. Patients will also have the opportunity to discuss their concern with different healthcare providers.Free, Lunch provided. Reservations Required, Space limited.

Women's Cardiac Support Group
This is designed especially for women with heart-related illness. A monthly group discussion of topics related to heart disease in women. Guest Speaker: Merikay Ringer, PhD, or Susan Miller, spokespersons from WomenHeart, The National Coalition of Women with Heart Disease.
