Willis-Knighton does not collect or keep your credit card information. You may also register by calling (318) 212-8225 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (except holidays). Charges due must be paid in advance.

Note: For classes eligible for a refund, the refund policy requires you to call at least one week in advance to cancel. Refunds will be issued, less a $10 administrative fee.

WK Support Groups
Support groups are designed for people dealing with specific health concerns. A facilitator is available for each class.
 
40 Minus: A Plus for Young Adults Living With Cancer
This is a peer support and education-based group for young adults living with cancer in the Ark-La-Tex region. The
purpose of this group is to build relationships among young adult patients and family members, enhance coping
stategies, offer support in aquiring a sense of control and increase their "living with cancer" knowledge base.
Ultimately, this group focuses on improving the quality of life and facilitiating a supportive environment through the
cancer journey.

Amputee Support Group
Support group for those who have experienced an amputation, their family and friends.

This group is designed to offer encouragement to caregivers as they discuss the emotional challenges and other concerns often faced by the loss of a loved one. Space limited.

Coping With...Cancer:
This workshop is designed to assist patients and families find resources on symptom control through medications, nutritious eating tips and lifestyle changes that will be of value during and after treatment. Each month we will focus on a new symptom.

General Cancer Support Group
This Support group is designed to assist patients and their loved ones as they discuss the emotional challenges and other concerns often faced by patients with cancer. Space limited.

Heart to Heart Women's Cardiovascular Support Group
This is designed especially for women with heart-related illness. A monthly group discussion of topics related to heart disease in women.

Look Good, Feel Better
This two hour, hands-on workshop includes a 12-step skin care/make-up application lesson, demonstration of options for dealing with hair loss and nail techniques. Patients also use and take home complimentary cosmetic kits in their appropriate skin tones with helpful instruction booklets.

Lymphedema Support Group
This is a monthly support group for lymphedema patients, their friends and family.

Men to Men: Support Group for Men with Cancer
This educational workshop gives cancer patients and their loved ones information on prostate related issues that will be of value before, during and after cancer treatment. Patients and caretakers will also have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with knowledgeable healthcare professionals.

A monthly support group for people with Parkinson's disease. Friends and family are also welcome to attend.

Woman to Woman: Caring For The Mind Body & Spirit
An educational program to give female cancer patient's information on issues unique to their treatments and side effects. Patients will also have the opportunity to discuss their concern with different healthcare providers.

Women RISE
This biweekly support group is for women with cancer. The focus is on empowerment, stress management and developing healthy, effective ways to cope with cancer-related issues. Speakers will be invited, based on the topics the group chooses. The group alternates meeting dates to accommodate women in the workplace.
